Gordon Hoopes
Principal and Director of Design & Master Planning
A
highly regarded theme park master-planner who served for 22 years
with the Walt Disney Company as the lead master-planner for EPCOT
Center, Disneyland Paris theme park and Walt Disney World. A few
other Disney projects include; Splash Mountain Tokyo; the Star
Tours attraction at MGM Studio Tour Florida; EPCOT’s Spaceship
Earth; and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Gordon also led the design
for the Music City River Walk development and worked on Coca-Cola
Olympic City.
David Barron
Principal and Creative Director
Dave
has played key creative roles on a great variety of themed environments
and entertainment retail projects. He served the Walt Disney Company
for 24 years directing 5 design offices in Florida and California
that served Disneyland, The Disney Stores, and Walt Disney World.
He Chaired the Disneyland Master Planning Team for 6 years. David
was a key designer for the new Cerritos Library and is now providing
the theme and exhibit environmental design for the Rancho Cucamonga
Cultural Arts Center and the Environmental Learning Center for
the City of Highland.
James Poole, AIA
Executive Architect
Former
Chief Architect for Disneyland, Jim is directly responsible for
the design of over half a billion dollars worth of entertainment
architecture in Disney and other themed environments worldwide.
He has been fortunate enough to complete successful projects for
Caesar’s Palace, Lotte World, Paramount Parks, Hilton Hotels,
Jerudong Park and Harrahs Casino, among many others. Jim’s
work continues to delight millions of people every year all over
the world.
George Wiktor
Executive Producer
As
a Principal and Executive Producer at BRC Imagination Arts for
18 years, George was directly responsible for the development
and implementation of major visitor attractions worldwide, such
as corporate visitors centers, worlds fair pavilions, museums
and theme parks. These projects include VW's Gläserne Manufaktür;
Space Center Houston, NASA's visitor center for Johnson Space
Center in Houston, and “Postcards” a 3600 film for
Korean Airlines Pavilion at Taejon Expo 93. George recently served
as President of the Themed Entertainment Association.
Patricia
Newton
Signage and Graphic Design
After
graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California,
Patricia worked at Walt Disney Imagineering designing a variety
of signage and graphics for Disney’s theme parks; including
EPCOT Center, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and Typhoon
Lagoon water park. She went on to design signage & graphics
for clients such as Space Center Houston, Sony, Universal Studios,
Boomtown Resort & Casino and Walt Disney Imagineering. Patricia
has also taught “Themed Signage & Graphics” at
Art Center College of Design.
